Meet the owner of Computer Wall.
When you bring your computer in, you know exactly who has it — and who is responsible.
Local. Dedicated. Accountable.
I'm Patrick — owner of Computer Wall, a Stony Plain computer shop focused on one thing: giving people a clear answer before they waste money on repairs. There's no ticketing system, no offshore call centre, no rotating roster of contractors. You drop your machine off and you talk to the person who's going to work on it.
That accountability is the entire point. If something needs fixing, I'll tell you what and how much. If it's not worth fixing, I'll tell you that too. The $99 System Exam exists so the diagnosis is honest work, not a sales pitch — and so you walk out with the right answer, not the biggest invoice.
What guides the work
Three things, every day:
Honest diagnosis
Every System Exam ends with a real recommendation: repair, upgrade, replace, or walk away. The job is to give you the right answer — including when the right answer is "this one isn't worth fixing."
Clear pricing, before the work
Flat-rate quote up front. No surprises on pickup. If a repair is going to cost more than expected once we open the machine, you hear about it before any extra work happens — not after.
Local accountability
I'm at the shop on 47 Ave. You can walk in, ring the bell, and talk to me. There's no support number that routes overseas. There's no "your case has been escalated." It's a real local shop with one person responsible for what gets handed back.
Why Computer Wall exists
I never worked at SoftFX — I admired them from the outside. As a local kid, watching how they ran the shop and explained the work to customers was the first time I thought "that's a job worth doing." That inspiration is the reason I went into this field at all.
Years later I had the chance to work alongside John and Charlene at CD Computers — that's where I learned the standards I run Computer Wall by today. Their approach to diagnosis, customer relationships, and honest repair-or-replace advice is the foundation of everything we do here.
Computer Wall is its own business. It's not a continuation of CD Computers — it's an independent shop. But the principles John and Charlene taught are what guide every repair, every quote, and every honest "this one isn't worth fixing" I deliver. A Legacy We Honor →
