Computer Wall 780-994-6203

Bulk computer service · 5 or more computers

Five or more computers? Done at our bench, on time or the labour’s free.

Bring us a stack of computers that all need work: new ones to set up, older ones to upgrade, wipe or repair. We do the same job on every one at our Stony Plain workshop and hand them back ready to plug in. One flat price per computer, and if a computer isn’t ready on the agreed date, its labour is free.

What is Computer Wall’s bulk computer service?

Computer work on five or more computers at once, done at the Stony Plain workshop: setting up new computers, SSD and memory upgrades, Windows reinstalls, moving files to new computers, repairs and secure drive erasing. The computers come to the workshop and go back ready to plug in. Each job gets one flat price per computer, its own bench time, and a guaranteed finish date: any computer not ready by then gets its labour free. It doesn’t include networking, Wi-Fi, servers or any work at your location.

What it is

The same computer work, on every computer, all at once.

  • Setting up new computers: Windows, updates, your programs and user accounts, labelled for each person
  • Upgrading older ones: SSDs and memory, with everything left where it was
  • Wiping and reinstalling: a fresh copy of Windows, ready for the next person, a resale or a donation
  • Moving files over: from each old computer to its new one, person by person
  • Repairs across a batch: batteries, keyboards, screens, cleanups and Shop Rescues
  • Securely erasing drives: with a written record for each serial number, before computers are sold, donated or recycled
  • Check-ups: dust out, drive and battery health checked, updates brought current, and a written report on each

For example: 15 laptops come in. Each one gets an SSD, a fresh copy of Windows and your programs, and goes back labelled with the name of the person who uses it.

What it isn’t

We work on the computers, not on your office.

  • Setting up your office, desks or meeting rooms
  • Networks, Wi-Fi, routers, servers or cabling
  • Installing anything at your location
  • Ongoing IT support or managed IT

The computers come to our workshop and go back ready to plug in. If your job needs network or on-site work, we’ll tell you up front.

Good fits: small offices, schools and classrooms, churches and non-profits, clubs, and anyone with a stack of donated or surplus computers. Just one to four office computers? See Business Workstation Setup.

Why it’s fast here

Your project never waits in line.

Twenty computers shouldn’t sit at the back of a queue. We book your project its own bench time before it arrives, so it isn’t waiting behind walk-in repairs, and walk-in customers aren’t waiting behind it.

  • Room for the whole batch. A dedicated workshop with the bench space to work on many computers at once, not one at a time.
  • Booked bench time. Your start and finish dates are set before you drop anything off.
  • Done in waves if you need them. Drop off a few, pick them up finished, bring the next few. Your people keep working.
  • The same checklist on every computer. We set up the first one, you check it, then the rest are done to match.
  • One person from start to finish. You deal directly with Patrick, who does the work.

About our hours

11 to 5 is when the counter’s open, not when the work stops.

Monday to Friday, 11am to 5pm, are walk-in hours for drop-offs, pickups and Free First Looks. Bench work keeps going after the counter closes, and drop-offs and pickups outside those hours can be arranged for any project.

Two ways to book

Need it sooner? Fast-Track it.

There’s no rush fee: every project already gets a guaranteed finish date at the regular price. If yours can’t wait, Fast-Track is an upgrade with more in it: your project goes to the front, and the bench keeps working on it outside walk-in hours.

How it works

Five steps, and nothing starts until you approve it.

  1. Free project planCall or text: how many computers, what they are and what each one needs. Bring one in if you like, and we’ll check the plan on it at the counter.
  2. Price and a guaranteed dateOne flat price per computer, plus any hardware or parts, and a finish date backed by the on-time guarantee.
  3. Drop offAll at once, or in waves so your people are never without a computer.
  4. At the benchThe first computer is set up and checked with you, then every one is done to the same checklist and tested.
  5. Pick up, ready to goLabelled for each person or desk, with a printed inventory of the batch. Plug in and work.

What we don’t do: networks, servers, Wi-Fi, cabling, installing at your site, or ongoing managed IT. Everything happens at our workshop: you drop off and pick up, and the computers come back ready to plug in.

Questions

Bulk computer questions.

How fast can you do 20 computers?
It depends on the job and what’s already booked, so we set the finish date with you when we quote, and we guarantee it: any computer that isn’t ready by then gets its labour free. Your project gets its own bench time, so it doesn’t sit behind walk-in repairs. Working to a deadline? Tell us when you call. If we can’t meet it, we’ll say so before you commit, and Fast-Track gets you the soonest dates we can give.
Is there a rush fee?
No. Every project gets a guaranteed finish date at the regular price. If you need it sooner, Fast-Track is an upgrade with more in it: the next open start date, bench time outside walk-in hours, computers handed back as they’re finished, a progress text each day, and the whole upgrade refunded if we miss the date.
How is a project priced?
One flat price per computer, in writing, before any work starts. New hardware and parts are quoted separately, or bring your own. Doing the same job on every computer keeps the quote simple.
Do you come to our office or set up the network?
No. Everything happens at the workshop, and the computers go back ready to plug in. We don’t set up networks, servers, Wi-Fi or cabling, and we don’t install on site. If your project needs that, we’ll tell you honestly up front.
What if one of the computers needs more than the planned job?
We call before doing anything extra. A computer with a failing drive or damage gets its own flat price for you to approve, and the rest of the project carries on.
12month
warranty

The guarantee

Three promises on every repair.

  • 12-month warranty on labour. Same problem comes back inside a year, we fix it free (90 days on a Quick Fix). Parts carry their manufacturer warranty on top.
  • Didn’t fix it? You don’t pay. If we can’t get your computer doing what you brought it in for, there’s no repair charge.
  • The price you approve is the price you pay. If we find something else, we call before doing any extra work.

“I was in a panic as 48 hours before I had to leave for a contract job, my laptop crashed. Patrick was so understanding of my dilemma and within 24 hours we had a solution. I had a budget and he recognised that and was able to maintain that. I’m working through another project with him already.”
